This module will provide an introduction to Windows Server Failover Clustering with Microsoft SQL Server in mind to get an understanding of:

  • What is Clustering
  • Clustering History
  • Quorum Models
  • Clustering Pre-requisites
  • Why Use Clustering
  • SQL Server Installation

MODULE 2: Preparing Cluster Nodes

To be able to successfully build a Windows Server Failover Cluster for use with SQL Server the preparation of the the environment is extremely important. This module takes you through the steps to be undertaken to prepare for a successful build and implementation of a Windows Server Failover Cluster specific for SQL Server.
