FabCon / SQLCon APAC

APAC’s Microsoft Fabric and SQL Server communities finally get a conference of their own. FabCon / SQLCon APAC brings the same Microsoft product teams, MVPs, and practitioner-led content you’d normally have to fly to the US for, straight to Sydney, over 70+ speakers, 10+ hands-on workshops, and 100+ talks across four days.

APAC Microsoft Fabric and SQL Server Community Conference

6–9 April 2027 · ICC Sydney, Darling Harbour

A pre-conference workshop day (6 April) followed by three full days of conference sessions (7–9 April), covering Microsoft Fabric, SQL Server, Azure SQL, Power BI, data engineering, governance, and AI, delivered by the people building these platforms, not just people who’ve read the release notes.

Why This One’s Worth the Trip

  • Microsoft, in the room. Product and engineering leaders from the Fabric and SQL teams are speaking in person in Sydney, not streaming in. Past FabCon/SQLCon events have drawn Microsoft’s own EVPs and CVPs for Azure Data, Fabric, and SQL Databases, so this is genuine access to the people shipping what’s next, not a highlights reel.
  • A full day of hands-on workshops. 6 April is dedicated entirely to workshops across both the Fabric and SQL tracks. Bring a laptop and a real problem from your own environment; the format is built around leaving with something usable, not just slides.
  • Two communities, one event. SQL Server and Microsoft Fabric are converging into a single Microsoft data platform story, and this conference reflects that directly, sessions span data engineering, analytics, Power BI, governance, AI, SQL Server, and Azure SQL, so DBAs, Fabric practitioners, and BI teams all have a reason to be in the same room.
  • Your actual peers. This is a genuinely regional event, drawing data professionals from Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia, Japan, and India who are dealing with the same licensing, cloud migration, and platform-adoption questions your team is.
